The Story Behind the Name

I remember the first time someone called me “Ma’am.” I looked over my shoulder to see who they meant. No way they were talking about me. I was running marathons, raising young children, building a career, and living at full speed. “Ma’am” felt premature. Almost sedentary..

But over time, I realized it wasn’t about age. It was about respect. About agency. About carrying yourself like you know what you’re doing — and then actually getting it done.
